Math Atlas

For Instructors

Set Up Your Course with Math Atlas

Math Atlas replaces tedious hand-calculation demonstrations and homework with immersive, self-contained apps — saving significant class time and keeping students actively engaged.

Getting Started: Step by Step

01

Create your instructor account

Sign up at Math Atlas using your university email. Contact us to have your account flagged as an instructor — this unlocks assignment creation, class management, and the grades dashboard.

02

Set up your class

Once your instructor account is ready, you can create a class and generate an enrollment code or roster. Students use this to join your course and have their work linked to your dashboard.

03

Create assignments

Assignments are built from the same apps your students will use. Select the apps corresponding to the topics you're covering, set due dates, and assign them to your class. Apps map directly to chapters in the Interactive Linear Algebra textbook.

04

Share access info with students

Direct students to Math Atlas and have them purchase a homework license. Once signed up, they'll see their assigned problem sets on their dashboard. Students using the demos at themathatlas.com can access those for free — no license required.

05

Use apps for in-class demonstrations

The apps work just as well projected in class as they do for individual homework. Replace slow board calculations with a 30-second app demo — students see the exact same process, just faster.

06

Monitor student progress

Your dashboard shows real-time completion and performance data across your whole class. Identify which students are falling behind or which problems are being consistently missed — before the exam.
